Omygosh... I don't know what I've signed myself up for... I only just registered for a 6km City-Bay Fun Run next Sunday (16 Sept) before I went for my 1st serious exercise regime in many months... I am so unfit.. Well, I did consider myself to be quite active (in sports) before I moved up to ML ~ regular basketball games, going to the gym & hip hop classes.
Back in high school, we used to have to participate in school events, such as cross country (basically running/marathon), swimming, house events, etc. Hence as the younger grades get less km to run, the older grades had more kms to run. We had a pretty big compound in our school (boarding school + 2 swimming pools + many buildings + oval + new renovation in 2002/2003). I remember back in Year 12, we had to go 3km... which wasn't that fun. But i can remember i did it more or less at around the 30mins mark.
Wah, today when i first did my run around ML (basically from my hse to Main Street to the end of Mawson Lakes Boulevard and back), that's about 2km in total. That took me 40mins running + walking. I have to admit i didn't push myself quite to the limit with running. I had a pedometer on but that was crap; kinda died along the way so didn't record the km & calories burned on this exercise trip. =.=
Hmmm, need to improve on my timing... 2km in 40mins is very slow... Means to get to 6km will take 2 hrs =.= But yea, I didn't push myself hard enuff today.. So hopefully my training for tmr will be slightly better... Yea, have to train everyday for teh 6km run next Sunday.. intensive fitness regime...
I just remembered I need to complete an assignment that's due for this Friday.. =.=
