Instead of planning my work, which I've got a tons of work to do, I am sitting here fiddling with my blog skin... My previous blogskin looks horrendous with random title boxes sitting adjacent to the actual title alignment. So I've decided to replace a new skin, which I am much more happy with.

Some updates, Week 1 last week was a short week with only 3 days of school (with students). ALthough it's been hectic for me trying to prepare their lessons and writing up assessment plans and liasing with my line manager. Lucky for me, my line manager now is also my Head of I.T. who sits about 1.5m away from me in the office.

Last night, an Indian neighbour threw a party/ceremony inviting all their friends along to our place (our yard outside our units) in regards to blessing and welcoming their 1st baby. It is a ceremony in which Indians do, where her/his name is announced at the ceremony. The father prepared lots of food for guests (which I think more than 50 ppl came) and to bless the baby, a small token of yellow rice is placed on the baby's head and saying the baby's name. Most of the guests are Indians. Ok, all of the guests are Indians except for us and the couple from upstairs. The food was delicious. Probably because I was hungry for dinner, not chips at 9pm. Everyone was given a plate of chips (junk food) when we arrived at their place at 7:30pm and eveeryone did not start until we were ushered by the host much later. I didn't really understand what the host was trying to tell me either but I got gist that 'the food on the table was spread out to two tables, one being vegetarian and the other one non-vegetarian'. But I still didn't budge to the food table, as the host only approached me. I was thinking, don't wanna be paiseh be the first to help myself to dinner. The only reason is because he asked me what drink do I want, Coke. I said yes. The next thing he said to me is food on te table...... I was like....oh...ok.... Hahaha anyways, that was something very different that I attended :)
