nearly end of week 1

It's nearly the end of week 1... wow..gone so fast..

since i am already updating my blog settings, i may as well blog for abit.

i had a really good workshop this morning. it was my only workshop for the day; 9 - 11am. It was the only workshop for the course, because the course is really for reflecting our own ideas on how to become good teachers and also the day is really set for teaching practicum and there's really only an online lecture. so yea, we had to do 2 journals prior the workshop and we shared what our main ideas were in class. We also got to know the whole class, by interaction & class activities. I have to admit that today's session was the 1st time this week that i've enjoyed working with people and that i realise that when i am relaxed and comfortable, i talk much easier, in cases like class presentations & just general conversations. When I am all tensed up (like u get that feeling when someone is not that talkative or they seem like they don't like to talk/interact), it does affect how i act too. Man... ok, i really should be enjoying all my classes, coz I'll only be doing this for 1.5 yrs and besides, i won't be having so much "in class" contact once next sem kicks in, cos there'll be a 5 weeks teaching practicum block out of the 12-13 weeks.

Muahahaa, did i say that my program has no exams watsoever? Hahaha..Yup, it's confirmed! I have no exam blocks :P:P But I've got 15 pieces of assessments; mostly 1000-3000 words essays, journals, critiques and a few are presentations & seminar & practicum & attendance.

oo yea, yesterday i was coming from the city and at hte intersection of anzac highway & richmond rd, a car collided into the speed camera pole!! The maintenance dep't straightaway came out and fixed up the pole while the police officers were still sorting out the accident.

oooo, the Clipsal 500 is on today.. Just started today in the city. man, think it's gonna be very heavy traffic tmr when i go to city... =.= but i really wanna go to city tmr.. 2 meet someone... hmm, hope i can find a parking ....

okies, back to being a good student teacher & read my book... haha, today in class we had to draw pictures of what we thought "of being a good teacher possess". One of the pictures my group drew was a gal with a graduate hate pushing/dragging a cart of knowledge/wisdom/information..HAHAHA!! I guess we all have that presumption that teachers are well educated and good in literacy. But it is of great concern that teachers who know 'about' knowledge is not enough, comparatively to knowing 'how' to teach properly and utilse the knowledge properly & in an effective manner. So yea, having a knowledge bank as well as the teaching techniques is just as important. ^.^

I miss you all heaps!! All my frens... from Flinders Uni...Adelaide Uni... now dat i don't go 2 city everyday for classes, can't see u.. *sigh*... hehe... i also miss my gold coast frens (if u're reading this!)...i really do!..hehe.. but just do drop me a msg on my tagboard if u do, k? cos i still dunno which one of u reads my blog.. :) hehe, and ed ed, i don't miss you anymore :D you must be glad that I don't :)
