I'm happy with what I got my mum this Mother's Day. Let me tell u my story of how i managed to tag not just 4 people, but 4 GuYs, along Myer on a Saturday afternoon, in a feat to find my mum a pressie. ~ LOL ~ *ps: i did ask them to go have a look around themselves but they were too lazy too and had nothing better else to do than to watch me select a pressie*
Yesterday was Vesak Day and thanks to Wilson, he tagged me out to the city and had a chance to see what the celebrations were at Victoria Sq. It was alrite; the usual promotion of food. lol. There were quite a cute bunch of kids ageing from 4 or 5 to about 12-13 yrs old, performing some kung fu moves.
Anyhow, to my delight, I thought it would be a good chance to kill 3 birds with one stone; Go city to: visit Vesak Day celebration @ Vic Sq, meet up with Wilson before he goes for his placement today AND find a Mother's Day gift for my mum w/o letting her know my purpose of wanting to go out yesterday (was becos of finding her a pressie). ^.^ Cool right? lol...
Anyways, we (Wilson, his 2 HK frens, Greg (a French), Ferdy & Ben) all had lunch @ Chinatown, despite all the food at Vic Sq ~ mabbe because there were not enough seats + it was hot under the sun >.< & i saw two elders arguing because i think of misunderstanding or something about 'taking his seat away'. It was 'wow... never seen an elder man getting so worked up about something minor; quarrel over seats or something.. some more the elder woman was patting his chest to calm him down but he refused to and made a scene; we were all dumbfounded and as usual, looked on.
Anyhoo, yup after lunch, the boys (6 - 2 guys who left after lunch = 4 boys) wanted to go Myer & check out the sales..... but nothing captivated their enthusiasm once they looked around. So it was my turn to shop around for my mum. Kekeke, this is when the boys follow me like i'm the tour guide, going from the flower section on 1st floor to cutlery/electronics section on 4th floor. Man, i felt really bad that they were following me but they didn't mind. THey didn't have anything else to do anyhows. I asked them twice to go look around themselves instead of following me..But they refused :(
In the end, after much frustration of trying to find something for my mum but to no avail, i went to Haighs & bought her a scorched almonds dark chocolate ~ I thought it would be enuff since it's nicely gift wrapped (for mother's daY).
On the way back home, as i drove, i was thinking...i still wanna buy flowers... >.<>yea, i wish...=.='' then i said to her "I BOUGHT u FLOWERS LA... For Mothers Day..." Hehee, she liked it & the chocs. Kekeke... yeah!!
