My blog is growing mould already. . .

Long time no updates ~~

Couple of notes that i'm really happy this week about teaching placement:
- Observed a Music lesson with relief teaching and it was fantastic! The Year 10s were practising their pianos, keyboards and drums & it was fantastic being able to read the song notes all over again...... So i did enjoy myself in that Music lesson. It's fantastic to see the kids who are there, WANTS to be there and WANTS to learn to play properly. It's great!Sometimes i wonder if we students at private schools were ever like that (probably yes but if given the actual teacher was away and relief teacher was in, probably there wouldn't be much work done)

- Today my Year 8s behaved reasonably well, which was above my expectations, following their very poor and horrible behaviour last Tuesday. I see my Year 8 ICT class twice a week; Tuesdays Lesson 5 & 6 and Wednesdays Lesson 3 & 4. They were absolutely feral last Tuesday and it was quite stressful on me. I tried a different method today and glad my mentor agreed with me..... They were getting restless halfway through the double lesson; i prepared that if they did their work in lesson, i would take them out for a walk. So yes, i did and took them out 10mins playing handball and soccer. But after the walk, I set them back to finishing off their task and they were great. Alot of them are calling Miss Law....... Miss Law..... Miss Law...... it's great they are calling me (to ask me questions). The previous weeks, there's not really much asking.....

Speaking of something else that I'm happy about, I think I'm making progress in my personal life. Nothing's concrete at the moment but I'm happy that we're making progress.
