greetings from Darwin

.

Greetings! SOunds as if i'm speaking from Mars.... =.= This is my first entry blog since arriving in Darwin.

Just a quick post to let everyone know i'm still alive and doing well.

I've settled into a cosy 2 bdrm unit, about 10km from where I work, so it's not too bad. This is my 2nd week at work and everyday i'm learning something new myself, whether it'll be a computer based stuff that I didn't know how to use or learn or just a function on the application or even using the school clinic ;) Everyday I've been meeting new students or staff (as the whole school is pretty massive with over 1000 student population & over 200 staff members at the school.

It's pretty neat; i get to have my own office. Actually I'm the only IT teacher in the IT department in the school. There is NO other teachers in this dept. THus the entire office belongs to me (for now) ;) until we get another IT teacher or my Head of IT comes back from an extended leave.

The weather here is fantastic (warm and not that humid) although I still need to adjust to the temperatures here, as my body can't get used to the temp all of a sudden.

Darwin is pretty small; smaller than Adelaide. Most of the basic things are accessible although when you start looking for some of the items eg my Clinique body butter, then it starts getting hard. There is no Myer or David Jones here....just the ordinary Kmart, Big W and Target & Woolies & COles.

ALrites, got to go. Times up.
have a great weekend!
