busy bee

Nowadays I seem to have more work but I seem to be evading it even more. But this week I would have to work overtime to catch up on some work. I have assignments to mark now. This week need to finish submitting all the Year 12 assessment plans & assessment tasks (8 to do), create new assignments for my Yr 11s and prepare lesson plans.

I've been slack; nowadays I prepare lesson plans a day in advance or two, but also because I realise last year, i was preparing a week in advance and sometimes we don't get up to where I want so each lesson's plans shifts, so end up I'll have to redo the lessons.

Sometimes I feel so stupid. Not in school. I mean, just generally. Sometimes I realised I've been so stupid and wondered WHY did I pursue it. But as the saying goes, you learn with mistakes. I've made many mistakes at work the past few weeks.

This Thursday I'm going to RDH. One of my Year 11 student kena crashed by a car on the highway while she left the school. So unfortunate loh ~ but thankfully, she is recovering well in hospital after surgery. She has a few broken bones, bumps & bruises & cuts & broken collar bone, but other than that, she's ok. Gosh, I was so worried and concerned about her that when i heard the news that day, i wanted to visit her that arvo but then she hasn't had operation yet. Probably because of the bond that teacher-student relationship is there and because she genuinely worked so hard so far this year, my heart really sunk to hear she's been banged by a car, during school hours. So yes, going this Thurs with my colleague, who's her Year Level Coordinator.

It's already been 7+ weeks since I've been back to Darwin. LOVING IT! haha except bored at times. I've been kept busy with Badminton & nowadays I go 2-3 times a week. It's great! Meet quite a few people too! ALthough it's about time I focus more on my work for now and go to Badminton when I have time. Nowadays I'm more tired during the day & can't wake up on time.
