interesting week

.

Hey hey..... Long time haven't blogged....

I"m still alive & kicking... lol.. well, gotta leave some energy for my students, otherwise they would wear my stress level to the max outta me.. lol..

School's been pretty good; haven't had the chance to teach but I've been helping out in class.... I actually haven't had any students getting to my nerves yet... lol.. all my teachers would be yelling at them in class, AT LEAST ONCE (every 15mins)... =.='' yes, not at least once every lesson (lesson's like 50-55mins each), but every few minutes...

These kids are not evil (as I thought they were in schools ot make teachers' lives hell).. lol.. but they are really sweet and lovely kids, but they just don't know how to manage their manners or behaviours well enough..

I'm in my Year 9 Studies & Environment class and homegroup as well.. they are getting to that age of 'being rebellious'.... if they are not already naughty in Year 8. I have another Year 8 S&E class, which have some really great kids... I even met one of my Year 8 kids in the Special Ed class.. which he and i were both surprised to see each other there.. lol.. I was to help him with reading 1-to-1... His reading skills is abit behind... so that's why he needed to go to Special Ed session 4 out of 5 of his English class per wk. He's a sweet boy.. not naughty in class... On the extreme, i have this ..err...plump boy .. who i think dislikes me...cos I've been walking around in class and checking their progress for the past few lessons... and he's the kind that sits at the back of the class, mucks around and thinks no one will see him not doing work. Today he was scribbling nonsense in his diary instead of copying down the task (cos our teacher's away & had a relief teacher)... so he didn't bother copying down anything. I asked him whether he has copied it down..and he said "yess, miss". I'm like nooooo, u haven't. Now copy it down.' He just ignored me.. =.='' I should have said.. "then show me what u have written". oh well.. but that boi..he's a handful. he's in Special Ed too, but yesterday, he didn't wanna participate in the spelling quiz... and when i walked behind him in class in Special Ed, he quickly turn his spelling quiz thing over and pretend to err...do whatever he's doing la.. then when i walked one step away to the next boi, he turns it back. On it, he has scribbled marker on it... =.='' Those kind of kids; i really don't know how to motivate them to do it... screaming at them won't make them do much good... but i guess being a teacher, u can't get into the good boooks of all the kids. Hahaha, our job is to make our student's lives hard. lol..

Anyways, everyday I come home and I'll be exhausted.. mentally exhausted.. always have to be on the ball from 8:30am to 3:05pm. *scared kids will eat and bully me* lol.. each class has 20-30 students, all going crazy at one point or another in 1 or 2 lessons straight and at least one question will be bombarded at me "Miss.... "{raising hands or making eye contact with me}.. I have about 3-4 classes each day (but one is usually a doubel lesson, so i face about 40-60 students everyday... ). Very tiring... Because only Business & Accounting & IT is my background, being in S&E is like being in a Geography or History or Ancient Studies classs... so... I'm also nervous and stressing about my answers & how i answer them.

Last nite there was a fire in the school; took fire brigade 30mins to contain the fire. It's in the Home Economics rooms and everything in it is up in smokes. There seems to be no apparent electrical faults or accidental tripping of electricity/leaks.. But neither did the police report that the fire was deliberately lit.. but it got out to radios & news that the fire was deliberately lit. At the moment, the cause is unknown and investigation is still underway. I forgot to go and have a look today after school.. oh well.. it's pretty bad though I heard. In my school, there's like 4 blocks of buildings; one building is where the Arts, Music and Home Economics share. The arts section and music section rooms, were affected abit but not as much as the Home Ecs. Everything in it is gone.

Looking forward to the long weekend.. LOL.. (1) no need to wake up soo early.. (2) can work on my Ethics assgn (3) no need to tell students to behave or do their work. lol

Windin back abit, Sunday was good: the Mawson Lakes Community Expo was good. More like families came; not many studetns came. but that was expected though; community expo...expo for community.. yes, there are students living in ML, but ... very few of them bothered to come have a look . :)

Well, another will be ending and a brand new day tmr.
