have you ever had days when it's just all odds against you? Well, i've had that today. I've only had 3 lessons today but that 1 lesson where everything just turned out bloody wrong. I was being observed by my line manager in that one lesson and everything turned out so wrong.
- The videos I was going to show did not work, thus the students can't do the questions which are based on the videos.....
- Everyone in the class turned up.i think for the first time or 2nd time, it was a complete class.
- Everyone was talking and doing things they weren't supposed to, going off task and playing games, youtubing, facebook, etc.
- Couldn't settle them ....
Bleh ~ my line manager has proposed a behavioural management plan for me to work on (steps in getting the students to behave in class and do what they are supposed to do) and she's coming back next wk into the same class to see what i've improved on behavioural management strategies. She said that's basically the main thing (that she could see that I can improve on) and that is getting some behaviour management strategies in place esp for bigger class size. Because what i've noticed is that I am repeating myself umpteenth times in a lesson because students are not listening to me when i say it to the whole class. =.= My weak point.

dont worry!
soon you will get the hang of it and know how to deal with them =)
oh no... can only imagine your frustration :(
oh well, just need to learn along the way... hope it gets better soon.
thanks..... i think i was like in a roller coaster....when things like that go wrong, i just feel really bad afterwards...... but then, in the duration of the afternoon (afte doing some serious lesson plan for the next lesson), i feel better. I guess cos I had come up with a plan to tackle the problem and thus that prob gave me the motivation and strength and CONFIDENCE that I CAN DO IT! :)
