So I was at Harvey Norman today at Main North Rd, hoping to snatch a bargain for a 4GB usb pendrive, which I did. Well, somehow it's not the cheapest you can get in the market now but for its brand, I consider $21.95 for a 4GB an alright price ~ I was looking for a bigger usb pendrive storage since my 2GB pendrive filled up nearly towards the end of Term 4 last year..... I was already pendrive hunting while in Darwin but waited till when I"m in Adl, hoping to grab one on sales, since there are many sales at the end of the year cum beginning of the year.
What caught my eyes was a Kodak 8.1mp 12x zoom digital camera. It has lithium rechargeable batteries included and it's specs are pretty good. For a damn pretty price too! At $118. Damn i was so tempted to buy it (it's original price was $250).. It's so cheap! But I already have a pretty darn good digi cam myself (Sony) and I paid quite an expensive price for it and it's still in top shape condition. It's not like a belt where I can use the belts interchangeable, depending on the style of clothes you wear on a particular occasion. A camera is a camera. You can't really use this cam for this occasion or that cam for another occasion, unless one cam is a 'normal' digi cam and another one is a super 20x zoom 10mp for professionl shots.... But yea... I'd figured that if i get this Kodak cam, I still would have to buy a memory card (i dont think my Sony memory card would be compatible). Sony uses memory stick pro duo while I think Kodak uses flash memory card.
In the end, I'd figured that my expenses to upkeep another digital camera is useless and would cost at least $200 on top of what I have now and my current digital camera is still in tip top condition ~ I still love my Sony :P
Went out for dinner with Anne, Larry and Chang last night. Had Korean dinner at this newly opened restaurant just off Grote St (near the bus station). It's not that fancy; I have to say, it's a pretty ordinary restaurant - i wouldn't even call it a restaurant; i would call it a dinner cafe =.= The whole setting is just done at a rookie level; the menu looks like a 12 year old kid has made it, the number of dishes offered are very limited (and they don't even cook the dishes - they just offer the meat and we do the bbq-ing at the table), the counter is just like a deli counter, with meat to sell...... The prices are dear too! For a darn shack like that, the prices just doesn't match its "restaurant". Bleh... Don't ever go to that restaurant. The prices we paid per person was $16 and for that, we can eat a much better variety of food at better restaurants. Didn't take pics at that place. We went to SugarBowl after dinner, as i haven't been to that place before.
Their milk custard pudding is the best out of four desserts we ordered. Took a few pictures there. Tada!
